A sigh of disbelief,
The warmth lets me know I'm free.

I can't open my eyes,
Because that summer sun shines so bright.

No longer stuck in a cold dark.

Trying my best to look forward,
To block out the past.

I pinch my cheek,
I feel the pain.
I feel the drop of that Summer rain.

A distant memory of days gone past.
Days of sadness, days that didn't last.

The shackles of my past cant hold me down.
